Find Out What People Are Saying About American Tours & Travel

American Tours and Travel

This review has been a long time coming.  We have just completed our fourth “Disney Performing Arts” trip to Walt Disney World with our dance group and families. All of our trips since 2003 have been arranged and conducted by American Tours and Travel.  We have always had excellent group trip planning and execution with them every time.

Our travel agent, Don Wheeler has always been available when we needed to contact him.  We have been impressed with his quick responses to emails and phone calls.  He is quick to solve problems for us and has even anticipated issues and solved them before they became an issue.  No matter how many times we have called or emailed we have always been handled in a patient and professional way.

Our tour representatives over the years, Lelani and Raquel, have been tremendous help and are extremely knowledgeable.  Usually, they resolve problems on the spot, but if something arises that they can’t handle immediately, they know how to get the information to resolve the issue efficiently.

We would have absolutely no problems recommending American Tours and Travel, and in particular all of our contact people, to anyone wanting to do this type of trip.  They always have put together an awesome experience for our group.  We definitely will be using American Tours & Travel and Don Wheeler for our next trip to Walt Disney World.

Thanks to all at American Tours & Travel who have made our trips so special.

I wanted to write on behalf of the 8th grade class to think you for the wonderful trip to Washington, D.C. that you planned for us. Thank you for going above and beyond in putting our itinerary together. We appreciate you working with us so diligently to tweak it until it included absolutely everything we wanted. In fact, a teacher from a school in Savannah, Georgia recently asked for a copy of our itinerary!

The meal package you put together was enjoyable, even though we still think Louisiana does red beans and rice better than D.C.! Our airline and hotel accommodations were great; our D.C. bus driver and tour guide were excellent.

I appreciate your help in keeping our packages affordable. American Tours and Travel came through on every point—money, due dates, paperwork issues, etc. Thank you again! We look forward to using your services again in the future.

Our trip to Orlando was a smashing success! Raquel was a tremendous asset to our group’s esprit de corps. She is friendly, encouraging, and patient. She made us and the students feel great. Many, many thanks to you for providing us with this gracious and caring person.

Wow! What a trip of a lifetime! Representing Canada at the Tournament of Roses Parade was a dream come true. I would like to thank you and your staff for making all the arrangements for hotel accommodations, performances at Disneyland and Universal Studios, a visit to Newport Beach, as well as dinners at Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Café.

American Tours and Travel truly delivers on what it promises! Both my chaperones and students continue to rave about the hotel accommodations at the Marriot. I feel confident in recommending your student travel company as the one of the finest in North America.

Congratulations and thank you again. We look forward to our next trip with you!

On behalf of Columbine High School and the over 2000 students from 40 bands and 12 school districts, I would like to thank you for your sponsorship of the 7th annual Columbine Festival. Your assistance during the 7 years of this festival has been one of the reasons for its success. As always, you have helped our program and a lot of wonderful kids.

School is just about over and thinking back over the school year one of the best highlights was our trip—as it is every year. I just wanted to thank you for everything you do. I never have to worry about anything. Disney, Universal and the All American Music Festival were great! Thanks again!

All American Music Festival

I am always skeptical when I read band directors’ glowing reports about their recent band trips. Well, here I am—another band director writing a glowing letter of recommendation about our recent trip to the All American Music Festival. Here are some of the many reasons why I feel our trip was so successful: All American Music Festival has a package to fit all band budgets; the charter bus service was everything one could expect with drivers courteous, dependable, and punctual; the hotel accommodations were far superior to what I expected. The “fun” part of the trip was really fun and kept the students occupied, but did not exhaust them.

The highlight of the entire trip was the awards ceremony. Each participating band was introduced personally. The trophies and participations plaques are gorgeous. The personalized etched director’s plaque was a wonderful surprise. Thanks for making this a trip we won’t soon forget.

I would like to thank you and all of the All American Music Festival staff for providing another great musical experience for my students. As always, all of the ingredients for a successful trip to Orlando were in place; great weather, excellent hotel accommodations, Orlando’s many attractions, and most of all, a well-run festival. It was a thrill for my students to have the opportunity to perform at the Hard Rock Café. This was my tenth trip to the All American Music Festival. I’m looking forward to number eleven.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the staff at American Tours and Travel for planning our recent trip to Orlando. Our students thoroughly enjoyed themselves due to your very fine planning of our trip. The All American Music Festival was well organized and professionally run. Thanks! We shall recommend your festival to our colleagues at every opportunity. Please give a special thanks to Mary for being a terrific guide. We especially enjoyed her good humor.

I just had to send you a letter letting you know how much we enjoyed our trip to Orlando. The All American Music Festival was wonderful! American Tours and Travel did a terrific job of planning and scheduling.

I must admit I did have a few worries about traveling so far for so long with that many students. I am happy to say all of those worries went away as soon as we arrived. Please thank everyone for me, especially our guide Tala. My students really loved him and he was an especially big help to me. It was good to know that someone was there taking care of everything for us. Once again, thank you so very much for all that you did. The students are still talking about it and will be for years to come.

  • -Bruce Shannon, Director of Bands,
Brinkley High School, Arkansas

Allow me to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you for all the hard work you did to bring us to Florida last month. You and your staff are to be congratulated for the professional and ef, ficient festival and tour we enjoyed. Quite honestly, when we decided to take a trip, I had no idea what to expect. I had heard horror stories about some festivals and some tour companies, but you and your staff eliminated those fears and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Another thank you for your choice of judges. They were extremely helpful with their critique and commentary, and really pointed out some areas for us to improve upon. Again, thanks! From the moment we arrived at the hotel until our pleasant surprise at the awards ceremony, we had the time of lives at the All American Music Festival and will not forget our week in Florida or the people who made it happen.

  • -Brady Massey, Director of Bands
, Trumann Bands, Arkansas

I would like to thank you and your staff for an excellent tour and festival format. At every stop we were treated as professionals, and your staff was extremely courteous and helpful. This lead to a very successful trip for our students and chaperones.

I know you will be hearing from us in the future when we plan another tour for our department. Your festival will be highly recommended to my colleagues. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

  • -Thomas Maeck, Director of Bands
, Eagan High School, Minnesota

I would very much like to recommend American Tours and Travel, Inc. as well as the All American Music Festival. It was pure pleasure to do business with them. All of the arrangements for our trip were made for us in advance, and our tour representative was simply super.

We experienced a stress free trip. The music festival portion of our trip was an exciting addition to our trip to Florida. The groups were treated well, comments were very helpful, and the competition was not so overwhelming that the average high school could not compete. We did very well, and were very pleased.
